Technology has many advantages in the classroom, but unlike textbooks, tablets have to be ‘managed’. PC Locs helps solve this problem. It is world famous for its unique and innovative baskets, which keep tablets safe and reduce the time spent by teachers in distributing devices, as well as the time spent by children queuing up to put them away in a traditional cabinet style solution.
For 2016, PC Locs have launched two new and award winning products. The first, the FUYL Tower, is an intelligent powered locker, an exciting solution for schools where students are encouraged to bring their own devices (BYOD). Providing unique features and benefits it makes both teachers and students’ lives easier as well as help schools evaluate and streamline their systems and resources.
The second, the Joey 10 Charging Station, allows schools to enjoy the education-focused storage solutions that PC Locs is known for, at a more entry level price. Appreciating that budget is a genuine concern for many who do not want to compromise on choosing the right cart, locker or charging station, PC Locs has developed a new cost effective and customisable product.

The FUYL Tower is designed to individually store, charge and secure almost any mobile device – including tablets, laptops, mobile phones and more. Like us adults, who often go into work with our mobiles and tables only half charged, children are turning up to school with tablets that need charging. It features a power outlet and USB port in each compartment (2.4 amp USB port, 240V outlet). Through a simple and easy to use secure digital locking system, children can charge and secure their tablets until they need to use them in class.
The FUYL Tower is made up of 15 compartments that throughout a school day can service up to 100 students. Children choose a compartment and enter a four digit PIN from the digital keypad. They then insert and connect their device (USB or outlet) and close the compartment. The same four digit PIN re-opens the compartment when the student comes to collect their device later.
Where the FUYL Tower becomes unique is in what it can do ‘behind the scenes’. Administrators have control and monitor the FUYL Tower remotely, where they have the opportunity to see how many locker compartments are occupied or available in real-time. If a student forgets their PIN, administrators can unlock compartments from a remote location. The FUYL Tower provides schools with a full audit trail and time-stamped events. Schools will know how often the FUYL Tower is used, when it is used and more. This intelligent data logging and statistical analysis is unique to PC Locs and will help schools to make future purchasing decisions.
The Joey 10 is a clever table top storage unit for up to 10 tablets, which has been designed to enable schools to pay only for the features they need, with a clever ‘bolt on’ system.
Schools are able to transform any wall, desk or bench into a secure space for charging mobile devices. The Joey 10 Charging Station is ideal to adapt to your surroundings and fit into almost any location.
Customisable features include PC Locs’ unique and innovative baskets, which keep devices safe during deployment and allows students or teacher to distribute 10 devices in a fraction of the time. This reduces the time spent deploying devices, meaning teaching can happen faster. These baskets enable the charging station to be shared by multiple classrooms or devices to be transported where charging stations can’t go – like up a set of stairs.
